Willing to take on any patient, no matter the complexity, Dr. Marquez strives to take her time and listen to patients before and after surgery to find the procedure best tailored for them. The prospect of surgery can feel very daunting, so Dr. Marquez believes her job isn’t just to transform and prolong lives but also to ensure her patient’s comfort. Available and approachable, she is always ready to answer any question.

Regarding weight loss, better health, and more mobility, Dr. Marquez is all about making long-lasting changes for patients. Making people healthier and happier, that gratitude is why Dr. Marquez became a surgeon in the first place and continues her work today.

Dr. Marquez has experience in a broad range of state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgeries, specializing in breast disease, benign breast disease, comprehensive breast cancer management (breast surgery and breast biopsy), advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, bariatric surgery including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, Lap-Band® maintenance/removal, revision surgery, duodenal switch procedures, and colon/abdomen/intestine surgery.

Dr Márquez is a native Texan fluent in Spanish. Exercise is a way of life and she enjoys the gym or getting off the beaten path hiking or mountain biking exploring new trails traveling with her partner, Matt.
