Surgical Specialties
Dr. Griffin is an accomplished board-certified general surgeon who utilizes her skills to provide broad and comprehensive surgical care. Her areas of particular interest include breast, thyroid, oncologic, and advanced laparoscopic surgery. She also performs the Lap-Band® procedure for the treatment of morbid obesity.


Education and Professional Associations
Dr. Griffin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Her surgical residency was at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Disease, the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Tennis Association, the Travis County Medical Society, and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. She has received additional training in general laparoscopic and breast surgery.


Biography
Dr. Griffin is a UT graduate who was eager to return to Austin. She enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, including marathons and triathlons.
