Surgical Specialties
Dr. Fuller epitomizes the Capital Surgeons Group commitment to the advancement of surgery through the application of new techniques. In addition to his training as a board-certified general surgeon, he has completed an additional two-year fellowship in surgical oncology at the City of Hope National Medical Center. During this competitive, accredited fellowship, Dr. Fuller received extensive training in new surgical techniques, such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA), hepatic artery infusion pump placement, and multi-modality treatment of many types of cancer.

Dr. Fuller is Austin's first surgical oncologist. He has applied his surgical skills and advanced training to the treatment of cancer by combining laparoscopic surgical techniques to pioneer new, effective ways to treat tumors. Dr. Fuller performed the first laparoscopic (RFA) of liver tumors in Austin and has instructed other physicians in the procedure.


Education and Professional Associations
Dr. Fuller received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. His general surgery internship and residency were both at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, and he completed his Fellowship in Surgical Oncology from the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California.

Dr. Fuller is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a Candidate Member of the American College of Surgeons, a Candidate Member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, an Associate Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and a member of the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Fuller is also a member of many cancer related committees in the Austin area, including the Austin Area Unit Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, St. David's Medical Center Cancer Committee, and Seton Medical Center Cancer Committee. He is the coordinator for the monthly Tumor Board at Seton Medical Center. He is the current General Surgery Section Chief at Seton Medical Center.


Biography
Dr. Fuller is a Native Texan, raised in Austin. After completing his medical school, surgical residency and advanced surgical oncology training he returned to Austin as a member of Capital Surgeons Group. Dr. Fuller enjoys playing golf, reading, playing with his two children and watching University of Texas sporting events.
