Surgical Specialties
Dr. Faulkenberry excels in advanced laparoscopic surgery including antiflux surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery and performs surgeries for thyroid and parathyroid disease, breast diseases, advanced hernia repair and cancer of the digestive tract. Dr. Faulkenberry also performs gastric banding (Lap-Band® and Realize Band), gastric bypass, and sleeve gastrectomy surgeries for the treatment of chronic obesity.


Education and Professional Associations
Dr. Faulkenberry received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Surgical Society of Austin, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.


Biography
Dr. Faulkenberry is a native Texan, and has lived in Austin for more than 20 years. He enjoys hunting and is an avid youth sports enthusiast and coach.
